Show Statement

Artists have taken it upon themselves to provide artwork to the world when it needs it the most. Art serves many purposes, whether it is to educate the people about something that is occurring in the world or simply to add something new to a space. Right now with the ongoing pandemic happening everywhere we are all trapped. This show is meant to provide some relief to the public and it is also to inspire future artists. These artists take a minimalistic approach to their work but it is still engaging to the public. All these works play with various shapes and colors but take them on in new ways that makes it more intriguing or may cause the public to question what it could be. The colors and shapes could mimic viruses or bacteria and it brings an image to mind since we do not know what bacteria looks like. With the ongoing crisis it is nice to take a step back and maybe admire these "virus" images that look fun rather than daunting.
